代词

代词是用来代指名词的词。比如I, you, he, she等是人称代词，指代人。

除了人称代词，还有许多词也可以是代词，比如：

• This book is mine. 这本书是我的（书）。   mine是物主代词
• Take care of yourself. 照顾好你自己。      yourself是反身代词
• That is a red car. 那是一辆红色汽车。       that是指示代词
• Who are you? 你是谁？                              who是疑问代词
• —Do you have pens? 你有笔吗？
  —Yes, I have some. 是的，我有一些。      some是不定代词

限定词

限定词是用来限定名词的词，作用类似形容词。它们用来限定名词的范围，从而和我们的日常有所关系。

名词一般都需要和限定词一起构成名词短语。如果句子中的名词前面缺少限定词，一般都属于句子错误。

常见的限定词有:

• 冠词（a/an, the）
  an apple 一个苹果
  a dog 一只狗 
  in the bookcase 在书柜里
• 指示限定词（this, that, these, those）
  this book 这本书 
  that man 那个人  
  these photos 这些照片 
  those pens 那些笔
• 形容词性物主代词（my, your, his, her...）
  his father 他的父亲 
  her mother 她的母亲 
  their parents 他们的父母
  its name 它的名字 
  our school 我们的学校
  my classmates 我的同学
• 数词、量词（many, a pair of, two, three, ten...）
  a pair of shoes 一双鞋
  two cups 两个杯子            
  ten English books 十本英语书
  many people 很多人            
  much money 很多钱         
  a lot of things 很多东西

this, that, these, those

这四个词既可以作为代词，又可以作为限定词。如果后面没有跟名词，说明是代词；如果后面跟了名词，说明是限定词。比如以下几个例子（注意观察后面有没有名词）：

this	单数，近的（这个）	This is my book.	This book is great.
that	单数，远的（那个）	That is my pen.	That pen is red.
these	复数，近的（这些）	These are my parents.	These photos are beautiful.
those	复数，远的（那些）	Those are my sisters.	Those songs are nice.
