考点判断

动词除了谓语动词（有时态的词）之外，还有非谓语动词。

非谓语动词一共有三种形式，加上特殊情况，一共四种：

• to do （不定式）
• do （省略了to的不定式）
• ing 分词
• ed 分词

如果 A、B、C 三个选项分别是这四种形式中的三种，则考点大概率为非谓语动词。

思路总结

非谓语动词的主要思路有两个：

• 搭配
• 一般用法

缺空的词，要么能够和句子中的其他词构成搭配，要么属于一般用法。

在这题中有两个搭配：

• why not do sth. 为什么不做某事
• finish doing sth. 完成做某事

这题需要表达目的（为了给我妈妈一个惊喜），考不定式的一般用法——表目的，选C。
