并列句

基本句型构成的句子，称为简单句（含有一套主谓 SV），如：

SVC：She was happy.
SV：She smiled.

两个简单句可以通过并列连词连接（and, but, or），这种句子叫并列句：

She was happy and she smiled.

并列连词也可以连接同类的词或短语：

tired but happy
The cat is under the table or on the sofa.
She studied hard and passed the exam.

注意：只有并列连词 and, or, but 才能连接词或短语，从属连词（如 so, because）不能。
