主语

主语是句子的话题，回答"什么/谁"。

  • The sun rises.
  • I like apples.
  • Swimming is good for health.

谓语

谓语是对主语的描述，回答"怎么了"。

主语之外通常都是谓语：

主语谓语
The sungives us light.

谓语动词是谓语的核心，位置在主语后，有时态变化。

宾语

宾语是动作的承受者、目标或对象，回答"什么/谁"。

动词宾语

动词后面的宾语，是动作的承受者。

  • I like apples.
  • She reads a book.
  • He gave me a gift.（双宾语：me 间接宾语，gift 直接宾语）

介词宾语

介词后面的名词 / 代词 / 动名词。

  • I go to school with him.
  • Thank you for helping me.
  • He is interested in music.

表语

SVC 的 C。

表语也叫主语补语，放在系动词后，说明主语的状态、特征或身份。

  • He is a teacher.
  • It looks beautiful.

定语

定语，也叫名词修饰语，修饰名词，回答"什么样的"。

  • a big tree
  • the book on the desk

状语

状语修饰动词、形容词或整个句子，说明时间、地点、方式等。

  • He runs quickly.
  • I get up at 7:00.

宾语补语

SVOC 的 O。

宾语补语补充说明宾语的状态、特征或动作。

  • The news made me happy.
  • They call him Tom.

同位语

同位语对前面的名词作补充说明。

  • Tom, my best friend, is coming.
